RXCVRDO

Privacy policy

RXCVRDO (Ricardo Murdock, 7 Chadwell Street, London EC1R 1XD, United Kingdom) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: rxcvrdo88@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

Orders: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, and what you bought. We use these to take payment, make and deliver your order, and send order updates (legal basis: performing our contract with you).

Accounts (optional): your email address, name and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in and see your orders.

Newsletter (optional): your email address, only if you subscribe (legal basis: your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.

Security: to protect the shop from fraud and abuse we use a bot check and record a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for short periods to limit repeated attempts (legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure).

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the shop: Stripe (payments; we never see or store your card details), Prodigi (printing and delivery), Supabase (secure database and accounts), Resend (order emails and contact-form messages), Vercel (website hosting), and Cloudflare (domain and bot protection). Some of these may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes (normally 6 years). Accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies and local storage

We only use what's strictly necessary for the shop to work: a sign-in cookie if you have an account, your basket saved in your browser, and the bot check. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Videos on our site are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you scroll to them. If you play or interact with a video, YouTube may set its own cookies under its privacy policy.

Our music player is provided by Bandcamp and only loads if you open it. Bandcamp may then set its own cookies under its privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing rxcvrdo88@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
